Taliban
at Rock Ness
The Rock Ness festival in Scotland is the place to be for fans
of Afghanistan rock. Taliban rockers The Brothers Of Dogma are set
to appear on the main stage on 24th June this year.
Fatboy Slim, the superstar DJ behind the Rock Ness event is a huge
Brothers Of Dogma fan, having seen them perform in Helmand and other
provinces.
"It's not music as we know it, 'cos these guys don't actually
like or allow music. But if you can imagine trance-chanting, with
a tribal desert rhythm and some gunfire, you'll get an idea of the
vibe."
After safety officals voiced concerns about the use of weapons
at a music festival, The Brothers of Dogma have been forced to leave
their live rounds at home and will instead use replica Kalashnikovs
and Wii controllers to simulate the sporadic gunfire which has brought
crowds flocking to and then running away from their gigs.
Revellers will be able to buy fake beards to wear during TBOD's
Rock Ness show. Talibeards are on sale now from www.tickets-scotland.com
at £2.99 a beard.

The Rock Ness website carries a disclaimer stating that festival
officials cannot be held responsible for any death or injury caused
by a US drone attack during TBOD's performance.
Nigel Buckland, professional Welshman and reveller, is undeterred.
"The whole concept of being attacked by a Predator drone
while head-banging totally takes rock to the next level. Heavy
duty. Like, really heavy duty".
The Brothers Of Dogma's current line-up contains no members of
the original band, all six of whom were executed by US soldiers
who shot them, cut their fingers off for souvenirs and posted
the pictures of the mutilated corpses on Facebook and Bebo.
