Like it or not, the driverless car is here among us.

Guided by software and hardware, the new generation of driverless cars may soon see the end of drivers in cars.

Personally, I find the notion despicable and dangerous but, in the interests of journalism, I took a test drive in the prototype Google iMap Ventura.

Google Earth Cars Fury

Google Earth Cars have caused another storm in the UK after attempting to photograph the contents of a Glasgow man's garage.

Gary Little complained to Google and to Glasgow City Council when a driverless Google Earth car parked in his driveway and photographed him re-spraying a VW Passat.

Little told wreckered, "This is a bunch of garbage. Be honest - people download Google Earth, look at pictures of where they live, pictures of where they used to live and then look at pictures of streets where their relatives live. Then they uninstall it to make room for Call of Duty or something. What is the f****** point of all this?"
